3 June 2016, Besnik Hasi became the new coach of Legia Warszawa. Although the Albanian led the capital club to the group stage of the Champions League after a two-legged match against Irish Dundalk, he lost his job after just over three months. After leaving Legia, Hasi had to wait nine months for his next job offer. Hasi worked, among others, in Olympiakos Pireus (2017), Al-Raed (2018-2021), Al-Ahli (2021-2022) and Anderlecht (2025-2026). Now Hasi will work in another country. It turns out that the former coach of Legia Warszawa will now start working in Turkey. The Albanian signed a two-year contract with Amedspor, which will be one of the newcomers in the Turkish Super League. Amedspor finished second in the previous season's second division in Turkey, so it avoided the playoffs. "We welcome our coach to the Amedspor family and wish him success in his work" - we read in the club's statement. The best scorer of Amedspor in the previous season was 34-year-old Mbaye Diagne, who scored 29 goals. The Senegalese player previously played for clubs such as Juventus, West Bromwich Albion, Club Brugge and Galatasaray. Amedspor also played Ghanaian Felix Afena-Gyan, on loan from US Cremonese, who worked with Jose Mourinho in Roma a few years ago. Most of the fans of this club are Kurds, a nation living in territories divided by Turkey, Syria, Iran and Iraq. Kurds do not have their own state. Amedspor is a club involved in the preservation of Kurdish identity. See also: Deported MŚ referee. Media: This is the reason Amedspor is a club that was founded in 1972.
