Kacper Urbański may quickly end his adventure with Legia Warszawa. According to Piotr Koźmiński from Goal.pl, the capital club is ready to consider selling the 21-year-old midfielder for 1.8 million euros. This is a surprising turn, as just a few months ago, Urbański's transfer to Legia was presented as one of the biggest moves in the Polish market. The Polish representative returned from Italy, had appearances in Serie A, an episode in the Champions League, and a reputation as a top player in the Ekstraklasa. The pitch quickly verified these expectations. Urbański played 28 games for Legia in all competitions, scoring one goal and recording three assists. These are not dramatic numbers, but given the scale of interest, surname, and expectations for a player returning from the Italian league, it's hard to talk about fulfilling hopes. The biggest problem was not the statistics themselves, but the decreasing role in the team. The end of the season showed this best. In the last four games, the midfielder did not appear on the pitch at all. Legia won all those games, so the staff had no reason to force changes in the setup that was working. Legia Warszawa may still make a profit. Urbański arrived in Warsaw in September 2025. Legia paid Bologna around 700,000 euros, although the Italian club secured a high percentage of the next sale. This is an important detail, as the 1.8 million euros would not mean that the entire amount would go to the Warsawians. Part of the money would have to go to the previous employer of the player. Despite this, Legia may try to make a good deal on this move. Selling for a price higher than the starting price would allow them to recover the invested funds with a clear accounting profit, even after deducting the share of Bologna. The price itself does not look impressive. 1.8 million euros is a lot for a player after a poor season in Ekstraklasa, but little for a 21-year-old youth representative who has had an Italian school, a debut in Serie A, and a very good CV. The question is, who will consider Urbański worth such a risk. In Legia, he did not ignite, but it's hard to dismiss him after one season. He is still a player with good technique, courage in play between the lines, and potential to function as an 'eight' or 'ten'. The problem is that at Łazienkowska, he was unable to present his value.
