Legia Warszawa returns to training after holiday. As the capital club announced, at the Legia Training Center, players underwent medical tests, including EKG and heart echo, assessing cardiac condition. In the afternoon, they took part in a meeting with the coaching staff, during which new players were presented, including Croatian Zoran Arsenic, goalkeeper Ivan Brkic, and striker Łukasz Zjawiński. On Sunday morning, all available players will undergo various tests, and on Monday, they will take part in the first training sessions on the pitch. At the Książenice center, the legionnaires will spend the first days of preparation. On Friday, they will go on a week-long training camp to German Herzogenaurach, where they will train at the center of one of the well-known sports equipment manufacturers. Legia Warszawa will play two friendly matches - against the under-23 team of German champions Bayern Munich and second-tier FC Nuernberg. After returning from Germany, coach Marek Papszun's team will continue preparations for the season at their center. They have several friendlies planned, including one against Slovakian AS Trencin. The 2026/27 Ekstraklasa season will start for Legia Warszawa on July 24 with an away match against Pogonia Szczecin. The club said goodbye to, among others, Colombian Juergen Elitim, Serb Radovan Pankov, Artur Jędrzejczyk, goalkeeper Kacper Tobiasz, Patryk Kun, and Slovenian Petar Stojanović.
